Your First Visit to Our Palm Beach Gardens Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Our average patient spends between 30 and 60 minutes the first time they see us - that also accounts for paperwork.

We begin with a detailed consultation and then continue with a focused exam that includes several or more of the following: range of motion studies, gait assessment, orthopedic and neurological teting, 22 point postural evaluation, vertebral palpation, trigger point localization, and X-Rays if indicated.  In addition muscle tone, body symmetry, and overall joint function and structure is addressed.  We will also order MRIs, CAT scans and lab tests when warranted.

If there is considerable urgency and the patient is accepted for care on this first visit we may elect to begin treatment immediately.  If not, we may briefly delay care until a clearer picture of the problem can be attained.

The true purpose of your first visit with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you by identifying the cause of your problem.

Dr David Asks some important questions of interest to Palm Beach Gardens residents - Chiropractor Palm Beach Gardens Dr David Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in vertebral subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
